2009 “Justice League Movie Manip WIP” fan art by “Tim Drake”

"Here is a Justice League Manip I am working on. Two of the characters, HawkGirl and Wonderwoman were made by another Artist who goes by JMC. He is awesome. Martian Manhunter is a HUGE work in progress. I want him to resemble the "New Frontier" version but not look too aggressive. He is a place holder for now as is the background. I am VERY happy with GL and may tweak Aquaman here and there but I like him too."
Here's another fan mock-up for a JLA movie, this time by cosplayer and digital artist "TimDrakeRobin." Despite the promise made above, he never revisited J'Onn J'Onzz. To me, this most recalls 2003's Wizard Magazine Ultimate DC JLA article, which effectively sidelined the Martian Manhunter as a team mascot monitor room troll. This doesn't go that far, but the Alien Atlas still appears all Tars Tarkas and no Sleuth from Outer Space, a defining dichotomy. A near identical variation with the Fortress of Solitude background swapped out J'Onn for the Flash and pasted Tom Welling's face over Brandon Routh's. A few weeks later, the background went black and Aquaman put a shirt on. Six months later, the background vanished and Aquaman got scales. The gallery is mostly just a costume design showcase from there...

If you liked yesterday's link to my article King of the Seven Seas: Hooks for the Aquaman Movie, you might like to take a look at Wonder Woman: The Motion Picture (or Else!), posted just in time for Independence Day. Or not. It's a holiday. What do you want from me?
